Did you go to Insula as planned?
You make no mention of a search for trout, but I figured once you started hooking up with the smallies or wallies your drive into distant parts for lakers would abate.
It sounds like you had the weather we wanted. Glad you enjoyed it. You don't have to go into the Q to have a great trip. I happen to like the few creature comforts provided by the park service in the BWCA.
