We put in at French Lake and wandered around Pickeral, Rawn, Art and the Narrows. Art provided the best fishing. Water level seemed normal but it was hot. I'm sure Monday through Thursday reached the 90's. We havn't spent spent much time on the south side of the Q so I couldn't suggest anything regarding your route other than pack SPF 45. Smallmouth will probably be off their spawning beds by then and we were already catching our fish relatively deep, (12 - 25 feet) Bugs were nothing worth talking about. Saw 2 moose. the fishing wasn't good enough to get us back there next year however. Have a safe trip.
