I always "lug" ;^) my trusty ELPH on my sojurns.
I found this neat little yellow plastic, tethered, hinged,
latched, gasketed, water-proof(and bs), positive bouyancy case
at REI that fits the camera perfect. I would say it is fairly
shock resistant as well. The ELPH is magic...
