i've been doing the same thing...browsing catalogs, laying hints for my wife, parents, etc...

my list for this year includes NRS neoprene paddling gloves, chota expedition mukluks (if you can't tell already, i paddle alot in the cold), a zaveral carbon fiber bent-shaft paddle, one of those new, thick sleeping pads from moutain hardware that doesn't require inflation (and therefore doesn't leak).

of course, a month off work (sept 15-october 15) would also be great. i'd gladly spend a month in the bw and q in the fall.
