I have never come in through Lerome, but have spoken to a number of people that have. It can be a busy entry during the weekends. There is some swamp, but no one complained about it except for the bugs. Good campsites can be tough to find. Sounds like it is best to try and paddle into Cirrus as quickly as possible.
