While those guys digress I'll just mention that Amoeber Lake is good, and the bigger lakes like Knife, Basswood, Otter Track are good too, always bass hitting somewhere on them. North bay of Basswood is very good. Lots of smaller ones at Burke if numbers are your thing. PLEASE, everyone, catch and release smallies in these lakes. A few small ones ,<10", for dinner might not hurt, but release big ones. Practice CPR = Catch, Photo, Release. Besides, walleye, northerns and lakers taste WAY better.
