Re: SMALLIES

This is not a response, but a question. I couldn't find where I needed to post this so I'll start here. I am looking for information regarding possible campsites and fishing on Blackstone Lake. From previous entries, it sounds like there are bass and northern. Has anyone fished Blackstone for walleyes, and if successful what time of year? I am lucky to return to Quetico after a 5 year absence and I am looking for a good route with serious fishing holes. I have about 6-7 days and plan to head from Sag over to the man-chain and into Blackstone. I have also considered heading north-east up Saganagons once around Cache Bay. I don't want to see anyone for a period during the trip, but hope to base camp in an isolated spot. Have been down the man-chain before with good success in the summer. Hope to catch a variety of species during the trip. Have made about 7 trips total to BWCAW/Quetico and would really like any info if possible. Trip will be in July with two other seasoned trippers. Also, will this area be in the blowdown region (Blackstone)? Thanks for any help.
