Re: Packing question

I would encourage the second bag Stu. Contrary to my camping cohorts below, 2 bags are a great idea. However, to accomplish this feat it will take some concerted planning. You see, the best sleeping bags you have are the one's your buddy carries for you. The bottom of the food pack is a good place for this second bag. I got away with it for years. However, once they caught onto this ruse I was forced to find another suitable reservoir to prolong my plan of sleeping pleasure. Once discovered, I then moved to my tent mates personal pack. This is still working to this day and hopefully none of my voyageur cronies read this forum. Oh well, if they do, i'll find another spot.;)

However, as to your fish question, I wouldn't put it in the spare sleeping bag. I would recommend rolling it up along side your poles and rain-fly of the tent. Most 2 man tents will accomodate a large northern pike or lake trout. But again, the trick is to get someone else to carry it out.

P.s. Bummer of a last name Stu.
