I did the trip from Beaverhouse to Jean lake last year. A great time. Beaverhouse is a good entry point, although, get in the water early. The ranger station is a bit out of the way.

As far as the parking goes, I had no problem. The biggest issue is getting your car into or outof that area. The area gets real muddy and the 'road' can be bumpy. I took a 2 door honda civic with 18' canoe on top through without incident, but i did get a bit nervous.

The one thing about this route is that it is heavily 'populated'. By that I mean you will see other canoers the first few days into the trip. By the time you get to Jean lake, you won't see anyone. Jean Lake, BTW is a beautiful place to set up 'base camp'. The winds can be rough, and the lake can get rather big.
