The LC-10 is a dream come true for the avid fisherman. The trick that I use is to just put the transducer on the bottom of the boat with a little water (so it can shoot through the hull). This way you can cover more ground faster at a faster speed to find the right structure. Forget about the side mount! With the LC-10, i don't even use GPS.

Before that I was using a bottom like fishing buddie, totally a waste of my time. the LC-10 is lighter, better transducer, smaller, and more life, and more reliable.

The main reason why I have a LC-10 is because we get into new lakes all the time, and I'm a meat fisherman up there.
