Re: Lake Trout all summer

1st week of June is a good time to fish the trout. As Fred says, don't get stupid about depth, especially in early June. If you are trolling over 30 feet of water or more at this time of year, you will be OK, as long as there is access to deeper water for the trout.

As I wrote before, flutter spoons (with some weight further up the line) or deep diver plugs work best for trolling, but they have GOT to have flash to be really successful. Mylar is the key. The color usually makes less difference than the amount of flash given off. Reef Runners (a deep diving banana bait) and Storm Lightnin' Shad (unfortunately discontinued by the manufacturer) both make baits with a lot of flash.

Vertical jigging with bladebaits is also successful at times, but hardly any bladebaits come with mylar other than Cicadas, which are kind of small for lakers. I usually just buy some stick-on mylar tape and doctor up my largest bladebaits with it.

I've never fished Knife or Kek, but I can't imagine that one of these methods wouldn't work well for you. They work just fine everywhere I've gone.
