Re: Lake Trout all summer

We alway get some nice Lakers. Two years ago in July we caught 4 lakers between 36"-40" during a calm sunny afternoon. I've caught them up to 42". Once had a big fish stay deep on me for 15 minutes before breaking the 8 pound Mono.

Normally, I troll a +25 deep diving chrome crankbait 100' behind the canoe. Using spider-wire I can get the bait down 35' or add 1 1/2 ounce weight for 50'. If the lake is calm I'll try verticle jigging over a school of ciscos.
