Info on Soumi Hills Rec. area

Hi Kim, sorry to change the subject here, but I wrote asking about info on the Soumi Hills area a couple of years ago. I just wanted to thank you for the valuable imformation. I took my 10 and12 yr. old daughters in to Spruce Island lake for 4 days and had a great camping/canoeing trip. Got some really nice photos of some yellow ladyslippers on a day hike into Amen lake too. We had Spruce Island Lake all to ourselves except for the afternoon that we hiked to amen, then we ran into a grandfather/father/grandson combination portaging into Spruce Island for some bass fishing. They were coming in when we were going out, and they were leaving when we were coming back in. Had a few bass too. Oh, by the way, if anyone else is reading this, DON"T GO TO SOUMI HILLS! The bugs are terrible, portages are very long and uphill both ways, and it rains there all summer! Overrun with bears and it is almost impossible to find and even harder to find your way back out! (HEE HEE)Thanks again, Don
