This year my new paddle partner bought a GPS for our trip. In the last couple years I don't even use a compass but I always take one just in case. The interesting point my freind made was starting a log on the fishing spots for future years. This might be a good thing I guess but I have found that the fish bit just about anyplace so is it really worth it?
