I too, am taking my 7 yr old son on his first trip mid June for 1 week. My father and I are going to base camp to make things a little slower and hopefully a little more enjoyable. I have been told by others to have the kids take notes on their experiences. Also get them involved with keeping the camp site neat and clean. I am also taking along his gameboy just in case everything else fails. Have a great trip.
