I found dealing with them last week to be bearable because the great fishing offered a good distraction. Two things did however standout, one is they were only around in direct sunlight, not in the morning, dusk or cloudy days. The other thing is they only landed on exposed skin so if it is not to hot wear jeans and long sleeves. It could be worse, I only saw one mosquito and no horseflies..... Enjoy your trip.
