I think Pickerel Lake would be a gas to spend a few days on kayaking--no portaging if you put in at French Lake, good fishing, and the wind and waves canoeists fear on Pickerel would just be more fun in a good kayak. Lots to explore (check out a map), great campsites and some nice beaches to boot. Think I might try it!
