This is a reasonable idea (coordinates for each end of mis-placed and abandoned portages), but I must admit some misgivings about it, at least for abandoned (I mean no longer on the map) portages, since it might increase their use in the long run and lessen the fun of finding them. So few people use GPS up there now that it probably doesn't matter either way, but it could in the future.

I've thought about taking a GPS up there, but so far have decided it is more fun to get lost.
