We were heading out from Gaskin in the BW after a very rainy trip when it became too much to paddle against, especially with two kids. Our party got separated when one boat paddled on and got blown to a campsite across the lake, my part holed up in the woods to wait for it to die down in the evening, which never happened. Bushwacked to share a campsite with nice strangers. Got reunited the next morning when the wind died down somewhat and paddled out. Another time, I'd accept the weather for what it was sooner and quit trying to get out.
