Re: The Storm of August 16-17

This is an extremely belated entry, but this entry caught my eye...I can only imagine what must have gone on there...the day of the 16th last year, a group of friends and I were on our way from Minneapolis up to Winnipeg en route to Woodland Carribou Provincial Park in Eastern Manitoba. The drive through western Minnesota/eastern North Dakota was too much. We had to pull over what seemed every half hour to readjust/tighten our canoes to our vehicles...the ferocity of the wind was amazing...similar to the entries related to this topic...I remember thinking while driving, "I wonder what's brewing east of us on the eastern edge of the front..." I guess now I know!
