Kind of heavy but a pliers and a screwdriver can be invaluable.

The leather man tool I had broke at an inopportune moment because of a flaw in the original construction. I have since purchased a large Swiss army knife and Gerber tool. The Swiss army knife is very useful repairing small delicate items (like sun or eye glasses or fishing reels) while the Gerber tool is more robust and has a better set of pliers.

The black "new wave" fixes a lot of the old problems, as well as having a very nice small screw driver for eye glasses. it also comes with a nylon holster, which is nice.
