Portage Description:
Short but quite difficult. Rain the previous night made the treks up and down fairly tricky. I thought this was one of the hardest portages I've ever done. Two good things about it are that it leads to a lake where you may never see a single person, and it prepares you for what in my book is the hardest portage in the Boundary Waters, the next one.
Lake after portage: Little Trout
Known campsites: 3
Lake Description:
Deep, very cold lake. No loons or beavers or anything around this one. I've heard fishing is good but we tried for a few days and caught nothing.
