The 'long johns were'nt needed till the last day, but a dry set of raingear would have helped! Lots of wind! It settled down for a super day on Thyursday! Saw the bottom of 'old rookie's' canoe between the white caps on Seagull!

Pack your long john's and two sets of rain gear....read "September weather". Enough reason to call mid-September late enough for canoe camping on the border.

Ive used up all of my vacation time with 2 trips to the bwca this year but if I do some serious begging with the boss (wife) maybe I can get a couple of more days. It would be nice to see you guys again. any idea of where on the lake you will be camped?

I deeply regret that I will not be able to attend. I seemed to have burned my Farm & Fleet dress shirt after last year's trip.
I was on Long Island Lake two years ago. The western site near the portage is a really good one. Hope to meet you folks again. I'll be going on my 2nd trip (this one a solo) in 10 days, starting at Missing Link, for a 10-day solo.
Have fun - It was really nice meeting all of the Shindig veterans last fall at Adams.
Signed,
Tom with the bad Farm & Fleet shirt (By the way, my quasi-stepson now actually works at Farm & Fleet . . . so if you are looking for a discount - you know where to find me).
