I have a winter home on Sanibel just south of your place. Would strongly endorse exploring the island, refuges & waterways. Due to children in school, we will not be down until the Christmas holidays. Hopefully something would work in that time period. Given the proper water/current conditions, backwater fishing from a canoe or kayak can also be excellent.

This is an invitation to anyone interested to visit and try out the canoeing and kayaking on the inter-coastal waterway.
