I know you are holding back until the last moment to sign on for a great fishing trip.
Well, the 'last moment' is rapidly approaching......no more holding back, or you'll miss it.  

As you spend the rest of the summer wishing you would have gotten to spend a week in the BWCA, you'll only have yourself to blame, 'cuz this train is leaving the station.

We are planning our usual trip into the BWCA May 20-26th.
We prefer to travel a day and set up camp and spend the week fishing.
We have been a group of 2-8 people in the past.  Each year it seems that we have an odd number, which doesn't work as well.  I like to fish with a buddy....so someone can confirm my tall tales.  This year we have 3 confirmed and would very much like a 4th.
We already have the permit.  
We use an outfitter for all our food and gear.  
If you read some of my prior posts you will know we are not out there to rough it....we double portage and bring plenty of luxury items like chairs and fresh fruit and live bait.
Our itinerary is to meet at my house in Wisconsin on Friday the 18th.
We drive to Ely on the 19th and stay in a motel...the Paddle Inn.
We shove off on the 20th and paddle hard all day to get to Knife Lake.
We set up camp and fish....and fish....and fish.
Some days we take a day trip into a different lake to explore and ....fish.
We eat great food.....lot's of steak and....fish.
We laugh a lot, fueled by liberal quantities of whiskey, and tell plenty of stories about bears and...fish.
We come back on the 26th and my partners head home on that Sunday, so they can get the lawn mowed on Memorial Day, and be ready to get back to work on the following Tueday.
