Enjoyed the book. Read it in a couple of days. Interesting hsitory lesson and some insight on the natives in the NW. Just wondering if there was any closure on the Hadwin saga.

The Golden Spruce: A True Story of Myth, Madness, and Greed by John Vaillant.

A page turner in the Krakauer mold of enviromental adventure genre.

Chronicles what happens when "progress" (greed) meets native peoples (myth) and wilderness and how some men react (madness).
