Brian - have a great trip, glad to hear that the knee is doing good, hopefully it feels better than before the surgery.  Let me know how it goes when you get back.

Anxiously waiting to get on the road to Ely next week.  Gear was packed, repacked, things dropped and being left home.  Knee surgery went well and rehap was/is ahead of schedule.  Currently walking about 2 miles and carrying 40 lbs on trails in the parks.

Sounds like the lakes are much higher than last year, fishing in some areas maybe slow, but hopefully picking up with warmer temperatures.  It maybe to early for leeches, carrying in rainbows will be considered.

Has anyone fished the ENE part of Coleman Island and what are the 2 campsite like?  We have 10-12 days and plan on covering the areas of Never Fail Bay to Coleman Island and depending on the fishing may change sites several times to cut down travel time.

thanks for the help
