Although heavy, a Grumman (or Old Town Tripper) is probably the ideal bushwhack canoe. I can't tell you how many hours I have spent crashing through the trackless bush under a Grumman, while glancing at my compass (all in northern Ontario and western Quebec). The nice thing is you can drag them through gnarly swamps and pound on their hulls to round up your widely scattered trip mates!
Amen brother ! In fact, I've even used mine as a bridge, several times.

They ARE unstopable...and it WOULD be fun to join them! Unfortunately my legs aren't long enough to keep up in the long grass and floating bogs they seem to favor for routes ! I hope we get to hear a report from them too.
One member said the 'deep-in-the-woods litany' goes something like this: Guy in front: "Where do I go?" Guy in back: "Forward." GIF: "What direction!?" GIB: "Ahead! Just keep moving!"
