I suspect the tapes a bit lighter than the mount I got too!

The Ram mount is a super slick set-up in that you have a wide array of positions and then a positive lock in that position. It is a bit heavier than I would like though.

I like how quickly I can remove the unit (GPS) from the mount and holster it for use on a portage. Might as well mark where my stuff is right?

I can also quickly remove the Ram mount or quickly re-position it so it doesn't snag any limbs on a brushy trail.

I picked up a "Ram" Mounting system especially designed for my model GPS. I think you could find what ever mount you are looking for there. Smiley
