Thanks Toothfairy. It was a great trip

JJSolo-- Yeah, writing a TR is a challenge. What to omit? What to spotlight?  Thanks for the comment.

Nice report. The right amount of detail. Some reports are just too much IMO. left, right, left, right, I walked the portage trail, etc.  I like the way you mixed some fresh food in with your freeze dried. Not too complicated, but sure adds a lot to the meals.
Thanks for sharing, Jim

Spartan II--I used to be "wink" on this site, but never posted. Switched to my bwca.com moniker for consistency.

Welcome to QJ, tremolo!  There aren't many of "us females" here!   Grin

I enjoyed your trip report, too.

Looks like a wonderful mother daughter fall trip in combination with a blessing of extremely beautifully balmy weather and the right food groups. Smiley

Thanks. Didn't consider these before. Will check out maps tomorrow when I have a break from work.

I like Carp Lake for a quick trip.  Get a tow to Birch in the morning and you can be at the far end of Carp by afternoon, just one easy portage.  From there you can explore Emerald and Sheridan among other lakes.  Wink
