Thanks for the thread and the link MT. One other thought is it might be pretty nice to mount a camera and capture some video while paddling a creek or near shore.

got one, and second that for my UZ P&S type cams. Like it! just checked out the price on a Joby sturdy enough to hold my DSLR and good sized lens! Think I had a mini-stroke!

DD's mount has merit. I'm sure others have their own gadgets.

I really like what I use. Very adjustable and very light yet strong. The legs can wrap around a thwart or a branch or you can just set it up on a stump tri-pod fashion. Check it out.
