I'm sorta surprised A G Russel doesn't offer this little Marbles Trout and Game knife, becasue they offer many of the original Marbles knifes/pocket axe/ compass/ Lever Action Carbine Tang sight, that Marbles made famous.

I too have looked for quite awhile and never saw one advertised.
When I saw it in Duluth Trading, I jumped at it!

Will have to check out McCoy Knife Company, until now, I've never heard of it.

I had one of these that came in belt sheath. I lost it on a river trip.  It was labeled as Field and Stream brand. I don't remember where I bought it but I have not been able to find another that was less than 9 inches long. I have been looking for 3 years. Needless to say I am a happy fella 

It was the best all purpose fishing knife I ever had. I have tried all kinds of other knives and none compare to the simplicity of this type.

Like I mentioned, a buddy of mine uses it for a caper knife and says it's one of the best he's ever used.

For $20, how wrong can you go

I've never gutted a brookie, but I've butchered/cleaned a ton of deer and pheasants, and cleaned lots of walleyes, bass, and northerns. 

I'm a sucker for knives, so will probably add this one to the collection.  Less than $20, what the hell....

I'm assuming the sheath is similar to my other neck knifes that use the Kydex sheath. They mold the sheath in such a way it holds the knife in place. Kydex is a trademark, so I'm thinking this is a knock-off version of that.

One of the benefits of that pinky ring on knife, is that you don't need to set knife down/pick-up  while working with it.
When I gut a Brook Trout, I leave head attached and just slice across base of gills and then run tip down to tail, using two fingers to keep blade from cutting gut sack. Then I can let the knife dangle safely from my little finger and use my thumb to push along spine gutting it safely.

Once you use one, you'll wonder why you didn't have one before

I've never heard of this knife, let alone used it.  But I'll check it out.  I wonder how the sheath stays attached.  The picture was helpful with that.

BYW, my AG Russell sharpener arrived.  Impressive: small and light but well-designed and solid.  I'll be sharpening my knives on it at home, just to get the feel of it.

For those of you who have never used/ heard of one, or who have and want another one with a modern sheath update, this is for you.

It would also make a great little neck knife for camp. I have one that is 20+ years old, but the new sheath set-up makes me want another one.

It excels at cleaning stream trout/small game.
The classic finger ring gives control that is hard to duplicate.
I know a guy who uses it to cape out his deer/game mounts.
