I was fortunate enough to see this first hand from the air also. Thanks to Harlan for sharing the pics. It is an ominous sight! If I didn't know where the fire was, and all that smoke rolled in on me like it did....I would have been really nervous. Hats off to Claire and the WCPP staff, they actually flew in and warned me and others of where the fire was and the smoke scenerio's etc. It was welcome knowledge. I was in smoke so thick on my camp Sat morning that you could not see 200 yards. SunCatcher

Glenn lake gathering is still a go. Everyone is in the park and I'll be flying into Glenn on the 7th
Have fun at the "gathering"... Hope everything goes well. Thanks for taking care of our own MT... We'll pray for rain up there... without the lightning and a little north of you guys.

Are you guys able to go to Glenn? Did Al (Mastertangler) get to go in anywhere?

As of today, Lund, Onnie and Johnson Lakes are closed and the only ground access point open is Leano Lake. Red Lake Fire 124 is growing and currently burning in the north end of the park.
Anyone with plans to come up to the park should contact myself or the park office 807-727-1329 for updates.
Fly-in's are still an option provided the smoke cloud allows for it....been a crazy day up here....
Here are some pictures.
