Ben, I could have paddled but I thought you were using the creek in a few weeks so I waded and cleared everything for you. It was during the heat wave and felt good. In 2009's high water four of us in solo canoes went upstream from North Prairie. Others have commented on the current in this stream so it should be considered when planning direction of travel.
Thanks! Now I have to go back since you cleared it up for me... I wouldn't have been able to enter anyways as the entries I would need to use were closed. I don't know how you did it in high water going up stream (in 2009)... It was WORK going down stream in a tandem. Looking forward to 2012!

On July 20 there were some pretty vicious storms passing over the park. I received less that a half inch near Indian House but wonder if some of the streams may have gotten enough run-off to raise them for a few days and then quickly dropped again.
Yep. I was on the last portage back into Garner when it hit. It dumped rain for a few minutes and then quit. However, we were wading down the portage in a couple of inches of water even in that short amount of time. During the early evening, we got a few additional showers, but nothing like what we had on the portage. The next day, we got hammered by westerly winds as we crossed Garner ... not exactly the perfect end to a trip!

You do great work. Always nice to watch another video you've created.
Crazy how quickly the water emptied out of the park this year. The Garner River was more like Garner creek (if that) between Haggart and Garner Lakes in late July. It was no problem at all going in in mid-July.
Thanks for sharing the vid.

Gee, I forgot to mention to the youtube users that the Echo Lake mentioned is a Walleye Lake. There is a boat cache there but do not know how often it is fished.
