Foamcore can be bought at an art supply shop or online.  Comes in various thicknesses.  It's just foam between paper, nothing special.

Does anyone know where to get the foam they use to add ribs to a boat (this one is 'goldenglass')?    I saw it once a while ago and after much re-searching it eludes me.  It's either that or make some cedar strips and glass over them.
