ST I guess it's called canuding and they were doing it when I was way out ahead of the 3 woman canoe. I have a fused disc in my neck so I cant turn my head completely around to look at a canoe behind mine and they knew that. I am going to write a full trip report tonight. Jon
Well thankfully technology has a fix for those who have limited neck rotation. Buy yourself a pair of those biking sunglasses that has those little rear view mirror attachments on them. When the ladies think they have one up on the old dog, you can show there's more than one way to enjoy a Canuding

Heading up to the end of the Gunflint trail Friday for Saturday entry at Cache bay. Going up (down) the Falls Chain to Kawnipi. Then through Heronshaw, Baird, Cub and Camel to Veron and Delahey. Then the Death March to Conmee, Brent, Mcintyre, Sarah and Isabella to North Bay. Then after Prairie Portage up the Man Chain to Saganagons and back to Cache bay. Four 19 year old women and 51 year old me in a Minnesota II and a Minnesota III. My co leader had to drop out about a month ago so I am in for a real workout. None of the women are interested in fishing but like to cook and eat fish so I hope my fishing skills are up to the challenge. I am going to try some of MT's tips from over the winter but decided a depth finder was excessive for a group like this. Say hi if you spot us. Our Camp will have one huge REI six person base camp tent and a tiny REI single person quarter dome. This may be the largest and smallest tents ever set up next to each other. Jon
