Sad
I guess this is one of the reasons they coined the term "Ugly Americans".

If by more "civilized"  you mean possibly posting their license plate number with the proper authorities and getting them Red Flagged at the border for a closer look, then by all means be "civilized" Wink Grin

I pulled this photo from the (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links).  They were nicer than I, placing it under the heading "Stupid was here."

The unfortunate inscription represents the beloved mascot of the University of Texas at Austin.  The inscriber ... not so much!

This one (apparently there is more than one, according to park staff), appears on a rock face in Artery Lake.  According to an exchange I've had with SunCatcher, the image would have appeared prior to August 1, 2011.

If you were in the area of Artery Lake and ran into any paddlers from Texas (sad to say), I'd appreciate the info.  Since I have no sense of humor about such things, I'd dearly love to to spray paint their automobile with "WCPP" as appropriate payback, but I'd likely do something somewhat more "civilized."

BTW:  If you ran into me in the park last summer, I didn't get as far north as Artery Lake.

Thanks,
dd
