This book is by the legendary angler Dick Pearson who was obsessed with Muskie fishing. He would sleep in his boat anchored up on a "spot" and awake every few hours to cast. It was said that he has had his wife feed him sandwiches so he could continue casting. Now that is hardcore.

What I like about the book is it provokes thought. it is less about equipment and lures than having a plan. There is a chapter on fishing a "New Canadian Lake" as well as "Trout waters" and "Mesotrophic Water".

While the vast majority of us don't fish Musky on the Canadian shield the thought process detailed by Mr Pearson  can be applied to a wide variety of species and circumstances.

Amazon is quite proud of the book but you can get it at Rollie and Helens Musky shop for 1/2 $ what Amazon is asking along with a nifty catalog.
