While the whole weekend, April 22-24, looks great, there are a number of presentations that will appeal to the wilderness canoeist. Over 100 all together. Cliff Jacobson, Rob Kesselring, Stu Osthoff, Bob O'Hara, Kevin Callan, and Peter Marshall headline the speakers. The Ontario parks are well covered. There are topics concerning various wilderness skills and camping practices. Sunday looks to be as good as Saturday. I hope QJERS will support this event and help it to grow. If you have been Dissappointed with the choices at Copia, this one looks like a winner. I hope to see you there.

I presented last year but decided not to this year. I don't mind public speaking (and actually enjoy it), but preparing for it added too much stress to my life.
Since I am an exhibitor, I will be there all three days. I already have plans for Saturday evening, though, so I probably couldn't make a wingnite. If my plans change and you decide to have one, I'll come. It would be nice to meet all of you in person.

I will likely be heading to Minneapolis on Saturday, April 23 for this semi-annual event. While smaller than Copia, it is more focused on adventure travel, canoeing, and fishing. I think it would be of great interest to most QJers. I did not apply to speak this time due to some family health issues. For more information: (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links) Information on programs and speakers will be posted about April 1. Best of all, it's FREE!
If there is interest, I would be interested in getting together for lunch at the Famous Daves venue and/or a wingnite dinner at a time and place TBD. Please post here if interested. Thanks.
