I've always avoided this area, choosing to trip elsewhere. I've heard stories about how many people visit the area and unforunately found it to be true when I saw 40 boats on the first lake on my way in to my campsite on Mountain Lake...

If you can somehow ignore the other people the area really is cool. very clear water and you can see just schools of fish everywhere. I'm sure it'd be an awesome place to visit in the spring and fall when the softies are afraid of the bugs and cold.

I made a video about my trip. Glad I crossed the area off my list. With it only 2 hours from where I live I'll go back, but as I said before, probably in the early spring or late fall.
