Vikes beat the Titans and.....the Pack.

There really is a Santa Claus.

Leaning towards Delahey at the moment because I'm pretty sure I could get there in a long day from Antoine.....

From my research, either making Delahey or Connmee a destination will deliver both. However, I would not expect to just show up and start landing big fish and/or large numbers of eater-size walleye without at least a decent approach and technique. I think your secret spots though are safe from me and perhaps many others for that reason!

Realistically, a Delahey destination would mean entering from the north via Nym, Staunton or French Lake and similarly a Connmee destination would mean coming at it from the south. I could see the advantages to a southern route because you could hit many of what Stu has referred to in his BWJ Grand Slam series as "murderers row" for walleye. Suzanette, western side of Brent, Burt, Joyce, etc. Delahey could also be argued as no slouch with Nan, Camel, Veron and Delahey. For a largely solo canoe-ist and fisherman, either of these would be hard to cover in a standard 7 to 10 day backcountry adventure.

So, the choice still looms and I have plenty to ponder over the coming months for next year such as how quickly I could reach each destination, 5 or 4 star campsite options, new routes and sidetrips to explore, wildlife sightings or a reconnoiter for a future bushwacker jamboree.....I'm just saying.

Now it's time to go watch the Vikes beat up on the Titans in preparation for next week's battle against "The 'Pack".  Cheesy

Do you want size or numbers? Either choice would be a nice Waldo trip. I can't post where I would go. Cool

If you had to choose between a Conmee-Brent centric 8-10 day walleye trip in early to mid-June or a Veron-Delahey walleye trip (same time frame) which would you choose and why? Anyone interested for 2017?

Also, to piggyback on my own thread, my WCPP trip out of Leano fell apart due to work schedules this year (mine thankfully Smiley but I'm thinking about it for 2017. My current projection is maybe a shuttle down to Leano and then paddle an arc out to the Aegans and back via Gammon river system to Johnson where cars will be parked on the way in.....thoughts and interest welcome (even tentative)....
