Thanks Solus.  It's no wonder that I get "turned around" once in a while.

A great writer as well as a brilliant thinker

However in the interest of geographical correctness his farm is north of Madison about halfway between Portage and Wisconsin Dells.

I'm currently reading "Leopold".  "Leopold" is an expanded version of his writings and contains all the essays from "A Sand County Almanac" and "Round River" which I had read previously.   Aldo Leopold is considered one of the early fathers of modern day conservation.  Although well traveled as a naturalist he ended up in Madison as a professor and bought a distressed farm along the Wisconsin River south of Madison.   The essays take a look at our "relationship" to the "land" which includes all the flora, fauna and water. His writings have a profound influence on how I relate our natural world.
