Soooo....I picked up the 67i because it had the alarm function I was looking for plus all the other bells and whistles that we so love with the inreach. It also was on sale for a hefty discount via REI....so that was nice  Wink

I tried the 62s last summer as well. My only complaint was that it didn't have an alarm. It's an odd requirement but it's a deal breaker for me.

I was in the market for a satellite communication device myself, and just picked up a Zoleo this week.  It was/is on sale for a good price($150) and seems less expensive overall than the Garmin subscription plans.  It does not have a screen, but pairs with a phone via Bluetooth, which makes messaging fairly painless.   Also, I already have a GPSMAP 62s and my Lowrance fish finder has mapping as well, so I was just missing the satellite communication piece to appease the wife.

Anyone try out the 67i? Is it worth the xtra bucks? I used Marten's 66i last summer for a bit. I like it. It seemed to function really well. I just figure that if I'm laying out the money for the 66i to upgrade from my extrex30, I might as well look at both models.

Anyway, thoughts?
