Quite the blast from the QJ past, QP!

I'm sure that most of us who were around QJ a quarter-of-a-century ago appreciate your sharing this pic.  Both of you were original Bushwhacker Jamboree (& Jimboree) guys, if I'm not mistaken... though I wonder how many folks even remember what those were.

To offer some perspective for more recent vintage QJers, QP at one time was by far the most prolific poster on this website.  His knowledge & records of portages, campsites, & message caches was - at the time - second to none. He was also the guy you wanted to follow down the portage path. That danged cigar of his could be relied  upon to keep skeeters away.

Kawishiway was also a top poster in those days &, often, very entertaining. As for "records", well I can honestly say that he kept me busier as a Moderator than any other QJer ever (back in the days when "Moderators" actually had much work to do).  I distinctly remember the morning in a Jimboree camp when he awoke & became alarmed at the prospect that "bears" had absconded with the food pack he had hung the night before.  If you look closely at the facial features of the guy standing next to him in the pic, well... he DOES sort of resemble a bear., doesn't he?

We made some interesting memories, for sure.

Thanks for the reminisces, Bo!

This guy stopped in town this week, called me up and we met for dinner.  After catching up on our lives the last 20 years.  We talked about things like bushwhacking, hiding packs, fishing, even a few of you rascals  that hang around here.  Had a great time, I hope Brian get back this way again.
