Howdy AB.....
We paddled the north fork of the Flambeau last year the weekend after Memorial Day. I would expect Memorial Day to be a bit busier than the following weekend, however. There are quite a few campsites along the river but plan to set-up camp no later than mid-afternoon. That should assure you of a campsite. Many of the campsites have more than one tent pad so you should be ok. Just plan accordingly and adjust for the numbers of people on the river. A beautiful, hot weekend will bring out the canoers. A cool, rainy weekend (aren't all Memorial Days like that?) will keep the numbers down. If you need some specifics about the Flambeau, I'll try to help you the best I can. It's really a great ride. |
