I own a leatherman but I never bring it anymore.  I have a Swiss Army Knife on a lanyard with fingernail (fishline) clippers and then I keep a needlenose pliers and hemostats in the front pocket of my thwart bag.

The leatherman got ditched in favor of the Swiss Army Knife and regular needlenose because the SAK has all the tools the leatherman has, PLUS those tiny little scissors which come in handy many times every trip.  The regular needlenose is better than the leatherman because I just grab it and use it with one hand instead of having to try to unsnap the LM holster and unfold the LM with only one hand while the other hand holds the thrashing pike/trout/whatever.

BTW, my SAK still has both the toothpick and the tweezers after many weeks in the woods.  I'm told that's unheard of.  Is it?
