I had planned on taking an Allagash this summer but backed out when I got some bad reports. I heard that during prime season
(july-aug) it is very crowded. I heard outfitters will travel ahead of groups in motorboats to claim the good campsites, leaving slim pickings for those canoeing by themselves. But these are just reports. I have no first hand knowledge. |
