What is your paddling rhythm?  Pull Long & Glide, vary as necessary

Paddle the shoreline or beeline? Shoreline

How nasty of water are you comfortable paddling in?  Let's do it, unless there's lightning. In that case, let's play cards until it's over, then let's do it.

Do you have strong navigation/map skills? Yes. I'm a private pilot and I used to drive truck, I can read a map better than a GPS screen.

Portaging
==============

Do you usually single/double/triple/or  portage? So far it's been double, one single that I doubt I could do again if I was offered $1000000.00

Do you carry everything on your back, or alot of hand carry?  Yes

How well do you handle the mountain goat portages? Let's just get it done.

How well do you handle the boot sucking bogs?  As with all difficult trails, just follow the rules: Stay Calm, Watch Your Step, Swear A Lot, and Keep Moving Forward. Repeat.

Camping Style
==============

Would you rather cook or wash the dishes?  cook

Fresh or dried foods?  Depends on how lazy I'm feeling. But one benefit of winter camping is fresh meat stays fresh as long as you need it to...

Cook over a fire, or over a stove?  Fire

Cook breakfast or breakfast bars?  Depends on how lazy I feel

How many fish meals do you like to have during a trip?  You can integrate fresh fish with anything. Mmmm... but if they don't bite, I won't miss them.

Hang the food pack or ground it? Hang 'em high.

Axe? Saw?  Hatchet, knife

Sit around campfire all night OR wake at crack of dawn?  Depends on how lazy I feel

On a travel day, what time do you like to hit the water?  early, to avoid the afternoon winds, etc.

Fishing
==============

How much time do you like to spend fishing? Depends on how I feel that day

Which species do you like to go after?  Bass and Northern. Can't get enough of either.

How much tackle do you bring? One small pocket-box with all the essentials.

Are you good with a fillet knife?  Good enough for me, though I admit I'm better with deer than fish. I'll let someone else fillet the northerns.

Misc
==============

Do you have any medical conditions to be considered?  1 lUv 2 p4r7y

Level of alcohol consumption?  usually none until the trip is over

Are you a smoker?  no

Is photography high on your list?   for sure

Do you like to go after pictographs? haven't seen any yet, but absolutely

Do you like to go after waterfalls? definitely

Do you like to go after the northern lights? if they happen, I'm there

Personality
==============

If the bugs are bad, will it ruin the trip for you? No

What weather conditions are difficult for you to deal with?   When it's not -20F

If we've got a problem, would you rather discuss it or bury it?  The truth will keep you alive. Speak up.

Other than illness or injury what events or conditions would make you want to quit a trip early and head home?  If there's a real safety concern, bug out and don't look back. Otherwise, cowboy up. That's what we're here for...
