What difficulty level do you go for? Depends on the group. I am up for all levels

What area of the park are you most familiar with and do you want to spend time there or explore new areas? Northern part of Quetico .  Exploring is Great

Paddling

Bow or stern preference? Stern

What is your paddling rhythm? Steady when traveling

Paddle the shoreline or beeline? Both

How nasty of water are you comfortable paddling in?  High winds and rain...we call it Canurfing!

Do you have strong navigation/map skills? Yes

Portaging

Do you usually single/double/triple/or? portage?  Depends on Group Size Double and Triple has been the most common

Do you carry everything on your back, or alot of hand carry? Mostly on my back try to limit loose items as much as possible

How well do you handle the mountain goat portages? One Step at a time

How well do you handle the boot sucking bogs? No Problem

Camping Style

Would you rather cook or wash the dishes? Cook

Fresh or dried foods? Combination

Cook over a fire, or over a stove? Stove. The consisten heat makes for better meals

Cook breakfast or breakfast bars? Cook

How many fish meals do you like to have during a trip? Normally we have fish for dinner and somedays for lunch. Even Brakfast occasionally

Hang the food pack or ground it? Ground

Axe? Saw? Both? Both

Sit around campfire all night OR wake at crack of dawn? (or both) both neither every night and morning

On a travel day, what time do you like to hit the water? Depends on the amount of water and number of portages

Fishing

How much time do you like to spend fishing? Quite alot

Which species do you like to go after? Normally I don't target a specific species but focus on structure shore line and sunken reefs. Most trips we hit 3 to 4 days worth of Grand Slams.

How much tackle to you bring? Too Much

Are you good with a fillet knife? Yes I always clean the fish Y bones in northerns are no problem
