Stumpy, Some say that you haven't really "heard" rap until you've heard it in Ojibwe. Which gives me yet ANOTHER great idea for our kilted campfire competitive games... something we'll call: "Voyageur Rap!"   Let me experiment with a few promising Chub Pond stanzas: "Da bugs was bad, Dey made me mad, My boy, he say 'dis party So Sad!' I grabbed da Deet to spray ma feet, now my ankles & toes dose ticks won't eat! My boy go fishin' & I fine him wishin' dat he brought his gig for a frog hunt mission! Ma tent pad lumpy, Make me feel so dumpy, Wants to kill dat boy who be calling himself "Stumpy"! SO COME ONE, COME ALL! YOU BE HEARING MY CALL!! YOU BE JOINING MY SON & HIS B.U.G.B.I.T. PAW! *********************************** Can anyone out there help me with an Ojibwe translation of this?  We're considering a "live feed" into Canadian radio & "the voice of the Great Northwest".  I can handle the translation into French, myself. Those Canadians really get into cultural stuff like this.... Jimbo   8)
